George H. Potter Elementary School is one of four neighborhood elementary schools in Dartmouth Public Schools. The school has more than 455 students enrolled in kindergarten through grade five. It maintains several school groups and teams, including a school council and parent-teacher organization. George H. Potter Elementary School, opened in 1957, features nearly 30 classrooms, a cafeteria, gymnasium, playroom and library. The school, located in North Dartmouth, Mass., offers Title I math, early reading intervention and the English as a Second Language programs. George H. Potter Elementary School has a staff of over 65 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes Title I aides, art and music specialists, learning disability teachers, social workers, reading specialists, speech and language pathologists, teaching assistants, nurses, librarians, custodians, health and physical education instructors, and physical and occupational therapists.
