Howard J. Scott marks his 35th year as an entrepreneur with a genuine commitment to inspire, motivate, encourage, and educate people seeking personal development and optimum growth. In 1976 at age 16, Howard and his identical twin brother John, founded Fantastic Plastics, a manufacturing company, with the meager sum of $288 in one hand and a dream in the other. Fantastic Plastics specialized in the production of unique manufactured items designed to satisfy individual customer needs. Within six years at age 22, the brothers had made their first million dollars. With the enactment of Public Law 95-507, Jet Plastics Corporation was formed. Sales receipts soared in two years to several million dollars with a client portfolio consisting of 125 large corporations including; Macys's, General Motors, Frito Lay, E. I. Dupont, IBM, and McDonald's - to name a few. At age 28, Howard formed another enterprise, Typan Industries, Inc., where he formulated marketing techniques that yielded nearly one million dollars in the first year of operations. In 1995, Howard launched Twin Visions, a monthly publication featuring "Positive News for a Change" and two years later introduced its spin-off Twin Visions Weekly, which would become Newark, New Jersey's leading weekly newspaper. As Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of Twin Visions Weekly, Howard provided a way for small businesses to promote their goods and services through positive news media. In 2001, Howard formed Legacy Media Group, a public relations firm which embraced informative dialogue designed to apprise the public of opportunities, utilizing a conglomeration of venues; talk radio, motivational workshops, publications, and cable television shows. Howard has appeared on numerous radio and television programs. He has been featured in dozens of newspaper and magazine articles, including Black Enterprise magazine, Ebony Magazines' annual issue "30 Leaders of the Future," and The New York Times. The Star Ledger featured Howard as a lead cover story which included Tony Robbins, Mario Cuomo, Barbara Walters, and other great motivational speakers who convened at the Meadowlands Arena in New Jersey for a dynamic motivational conference. When Howard is not talking on radio, writing a column or brainstorming for new ideas, he continues to volunteer in urban communities inspiring youth and adults to be all they can be. Scott has been honored and recognized by a diversity of distinguished entities including the Small Business Administration (SBA) as Entrepreneur of the Year, the United States Senate who honored Scott with a Congressional Citation for his community service leadership role in the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC LEO). Numerous newspapers and magazines have bestowed kudos upon Scott for his outstanding achievements including, Black Enterprise magazine which featured his trailblazing accomplishments in their Making It section, Ebony magazine note
