- Pediatric CareDr. Steven A. Shapiro, better known as “Dr. Steve” to his patients, is the Founder of Pediatric Medical Associates which began operations in 1980. Since January 2002 he has been Chairman, Department of Pediatrics at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health (AHJH). He is a graduate of the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience, and completed his Residency in Pediatrics at both the Naval Regional Medical Center-Philadelphia, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Following his residency he completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at CHOP.
- Infectious DiseasesWhen she arrived in the U.S. in 2001, Dr. P. went through another Residency at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. She subsequently served a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and then worked as a general pediatrician in a beautiful rural setting in Tennessee, close to the Smokey Mountains. During those years she became accustomed to the needs of children raised in remote and underserved areas.

- AutismWe conduct screenings for several conditions at some checkups. These screenings are recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics at specific ages. Examples include: Postpartum Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Drug Abuse and Depresion screening.
