Founded in 1975, Hedwig House provides support and assistance to people with mental illness. Its HOMES Team Program provides services to mental health consumers through the employment of psychosocial model of rehabilitation. The organization s vocational programs offer volunteer placements and academic training sessions. Hedwig House also provides housing support and rental assistance services. Its clubhouse offers socialization and recreational opportunities. The organization s clubhouse programs provide counseling and job coaching. Its members participate in daily operations of clubhouses, including food preparation, housekeeping and building maintenance. The organization additionally offers tenant-based rental assistance programs. Hedwig House maintains a location in Norristown, Pa.
