Bought a York unit, that was highly recommended, but the unit is SO LOUD and has a humming sound. When shuts off, sound like a plane is landing. They tried making the intake hole bigger,bigger,bigger and still has the HUM. Now want to replace the motor, haven't even had for two weeks. Doesnt make since to be out ALL that money for a new unit and have to replace a motor already! Has anybody had this happen to them? Help, need some advice..

My York HVAC is one of over 20 units in NM t that came from the factory with the wrong sized expansion valve. Since mine was installed it has NEVER worked properly one day. The York people rewired the unit to bypass a pressure sensor that tells the unit to shut down as a temporary measure to get cool air. In the meantime, the company has had meetings to decide what to do about all the units in NM, and now I'm told they will come to my house to "repair" my brand new unit, rather than replace it. The contract guarantees the unit to be free of defects from the factory, and I firmly believe many New Mexicans are dealing with defect while York tries to save their bottom line. They need to do the right thing and give me what I paid for--a perfectly working, reliable unit. In the last 21/2 months that this has been going on I've had to made numerous phone calls and have been put off and put off. I recommend that at the present time, buy somewhere else. Right now York is selling lemons

All they do is connect you to someone else. They have representatives in the area that you could call on your own.

I knew that there was a new gas out there and my contractor brought me up to date on it. He told me the old gas, R22, was going to be eliminated with in the next few yrs. He installed a York R410A 15 seer system. Just like someone else on here said, I can hardly hear the outdoor unit running, it's so quiet. I also inquired about all of the air quality items on the market and he suggested a dual bulb UV light with an electornic air filter. All I have to do with the air cleaner is pull the cells out and wash them in the dishawasher. I even got a cool touchscreen thermostat!!!!!!!

We replaced our Loud Carrier air conditioner with a York "Affinity" unit and we love it. You have to stand right next to it to know if its running or not. Our utility bill was about 30% lower than previous years. We would recommend York products to everyone.

They completed the job quickly and I have not had any problems since.

I had an emergency with my heat. It was 33 degrees outside couldn't get my landlord to lite my furnace...new to the area..I called an talked to Lori in the office an she sent someone out immediately! Thank You soooo very much GOD BLESS YOU! Karen Wagnon and Isaac ( my 2 yr. old grandson)
