Services / Products
For more than 50 years Eggleston Services has been dedicated to educating, training and employing individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to help people obtain meaningful work opportunities and participate fully in their communities. We help individuals with disabilities gain independence, confidence and increased feelings of self-worth through on-the-job training and stable, rewarding work opportunities. When Eggleston Services opened in 1955 as the Tidewater Vocational Center, we served only five individuals with disabilities. Today, we serve hundreds through 26 programs and 13 locations, and our services expand every year. We continue to grow our services through partnerships with businesses and government institutions, offering our participants the chance to earn a living and lead full and independent lives. The programs offered by Eggleston Services benefit our participants at Home, at Work, and at Play.

Amenities
Eggleston is first and foremost a resource for individuals with disabilities and their families. We help people from all walks of life and with a wide range of impairments explore and enjoy the best of what life has to offer. Whether it's the satisfaction of a job well done, or developing friendships and life skills that lead to more independence, we can help. For example, the Eggleston Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Center is a 38-acre campus that includes group homes, recreation and therapy, a child development center and so much more.Camp Civitan is a summer camp that offers indoor and outdoor recreation for youth and adults. Of course we also offer many employment and job training opportunities. These include our "enterprises," which also target businesses, and contracted services such as linen and food service. If you're interested in any of the services available, please contact us, or the individual location directly. You can find an application for services on our links and resources page.
