Operated by the Nine Mile Falls School District, Lakeside Middle School has an enrollment of more than 400 students in grades six through eight. Its facilities include a gymnasium, library, cafeteria, baseball ground, track field, auditorium, classrooms, and science and computer laboratories. The school conducts classes in mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, English, art, computer applications, and health and physical education. It provides career exploration programs and counseling and transportation services. Lakeside Middle School organizes several athletic activities that include football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, cross-country, and track and field. The school also conducts a variety of extracurricular activities, including Fund Run and band and musical shows, as well as coordinates in the Washington Drug Free Youth Program (WDFY).
