Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services is one of the leading retirement communities in the United States. A Christian, nonprofit organization, it has been operational for more than 65 years. Formerly known as Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Center, it has branch locations in Niles, Boardman, Poland and Howland, Ohio. The community provides a wide variety of services, including physician services, outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, podiatry, optometry, dental, subacute care, and laboratory and audiology solutions. It also provides psychology and social services, clinical assessments, nutritional counseling, pharmacy and medical equipment, pastoral services and spiritual programs, laundry and daily housekeeping, and music and pet therapies.
