We are a third generation family store and have been in business since 1919. As you can see in the news article to the right, Isaac Waxberg (the current owner's grandfather) had his roots as cobbler in Germany before moving to Chicago and opening what has now become Waxberg's Walk Shoppe. We are offering a lot of brand of shoes for men and women. We are almost unique in Chicagoland in the services we offer. Our salespeople spend one-on-one time with you for as long as you need to find what you need to be comfortable, because you spend a lot of your life on your feet.
