If you want to know what it feels like to be BULLIED, go here. We came here for a somewhat simple tax return. Small partnership with very low income. My business partner/girlfriend went to sign/pick up the paperwork. He came out and, after a random rant, told my girlfriend that our business would never work and she should break up with me. Just giving him our numbers, he was always trying to belittle us. We were just trying to pay our taxes. Even so, the next year we had to change the way we filed at the risk of being audited. Probably my worst experience of being a small business owner in the many years. Mr. Small should strive to be a bigger man.

It was recommended to us by the real estate agent who sold our father's house that we contact Bob Small for help with the filing of the estate tax forms. From the first meeting Mr Small had no clue and was arrogant. He did have a sub contractor complete our return adequately. However his fee was outrageous and when we were billed an additional amount by Doyesltown and called to question Mr Small, he never returned our calls. When it came time to file the final 1041 and PA tax return, Mr Small contacted us several times trying to get our business once again. No way. My personal accountant, who I should have used in the beginning, barely charged us a fee saying there was not much to it. Mr Small quoted us a time of at least 8 hrs and 1600 dollars. Stay away!
Having moved to the Bucks County area recently, I approached accountants Small & Associates in Newtown, PA for tax preparation. I picked this firm based on an advertisement in the mail.Upon reviewing the tax materials prepared by Robert Small, I noticed significant mistakes. I had to spend time going over all the details in the tax forms. I called up several people to confirm certain facts. I then called Mr Small who agreed to meet with me to amend the information. Essentially, I had to guide him through the forms. The process was cumbersome. Finally, after spending a sizable amount of time, I was able to get my tax forms rectified. There was no apology from Mr. Small and he was very abrupt and impersonal. Overall, my experience dealing with Small & Associates was very poor and I would like to caution others if they are considering working with the firm in the future.
