The Jackson Homestead and Museum, one of two Newton history museums operated by Historic Newton, displays rotating and permanent exhibits about the history of Newton, Massachusetts, and the Underground Railroad. The family-friendly museum, located in a federal-style house built in 1809, was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Exhibits address slavery and anti-slavery; and notable people and events in Newton. The Homestead is also home to the Archives of Historic Newton.
