While johnny's coffee was definitely not that great, their diner style food was absolutely delicious. I strongly recommend the corn bread encrusted French toast. So delicious. If you go in the morning on a weekend, prepare to wait at least ten minutes for a table.
The coffee was very watery, had 2 cups & both were the same. Coffee, for most customers, is the most important part of the breakfast experience. Omlet was terrific, so was the grilled banana bread! Our waiter was prompt in responding to our needs.
The long waits, the price of the food; no "free" refills on soft drinks; unclean-looking and well-worn drinkware & tableware; the fast-food odor that wreaks on one's clothing and hair when you come out of Johnny's even for a short period of time has left me wondering why it's a popular eating place where there's always a wait for a table in this cramped eating place where you are seated so close to other diners that there is no such thing as a "private" conversation can be held anytime of the day when eating here - forget about it during lunch and dinner times! The price for the portions are not for the budget-conscious!
