St. Michael's Country Day School is an independent, nondenominational prekindergarten through grade eight school. Located in Newport, R.I., the school offers a variety of academic, art and athletic programs. Founded in 1938, it provides classes in Spanish, French, mathematics, English, science, art, physical education and history. St. Michael's Country Day School includes a preschool and lower and middle schools. It also offers day, sports, theater and enrichment camps. The school additionally provides classes in art, music, band and theater. It has an athletics department that offers soccer, tennis, basketball, lacrosse and basketball. The school's library provides more than 6,000 titles, audiobooks and video recordings.

It is a GREAT school with GREAT facilities it is very expensive, but the quality of the education there is AMAZING. The school does a fantastic job of incorparating the arts in the curriculm. Every student in the middle school is required to take two different arts. This school does a tremendous job of building a foiundation for the students that they will use all through high school and college. You may wonder how I know this, well I am a graduate of St. Michael's Country Day School.
