Personal-Touch Home Aides is a family-owned provider of comprehensive home care services, specializing in individual care and has several offices, including one located in Newport News, Va. It provides home health aide services through qualified home health aides in accordance with a physician's order and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or therapist. Its services include teaching, supervising and counseling of the patient and his family regarding nursing care needs and problems of the patient at home; assessment of the nursing needs of the patient on a regular basis; and initiation of preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures. It provides wound and ostomy care, medication supervision, pain management, intravenous infusion therapy, chemotherapy and enteral and parenteral feedings. It coordinates total patient care; provides nursing services, including treatments, diagnostics and preventative procedures and palliative measures; and assists in review and revision of the nursing care plan.
