Hands down most authentic Mexican restaurant in all of Virginia and even beats all of the places in MD too. I LOVE real Mexican food. Not Drive-Thru grade F meat (yes, Taco Bell serves meat that is only allowed in dog food or if heated to a very high degree it can be consumed by humans-and it is-at T.B. It's a known fact, google about the study done) So I absolutely love Los Paisas because they have REAL food and it's super fresh and delicious and they even have a serving area with at least 20 different home made salsas (it's a "salsa bar") for you to use to try on your food or get a sample of all (it's free too! I always tip a couple dollars in the jar by the window (on top of my previous tip!) before I leave though because I use one of each and leave a mess!) and they have authentic Mexican beers and soda and even wine! You can even watch your food being made while you wait too because they have a huge open space for you to watch everything and it leaves you feeling very safe about your food, etc. I'm the kind of person who NEEDS that kind of amazing service because I ALWAYS fear what went on before this or that was made or what went into it and were the ingredients Fresh or something scary from an episode of "Kitchen Nightmares"! This place is a kitchen DREAM!! The cilantro is so fresh I swear they grow it in a secret garden. Everything is made to order and the amount of food for how much you pay is out of this world. The $5 burrito I buy lasts 3 days and the $2 guacamole they make in front of you lasts just as long, but tastes so good I usually finish it with a fork long after I've eaten too much haha. The food stays fresh in the fridge and tastes just as good in day 3. I've never written a good review but this place deserves it! Real Mexican food by real people from Mexico that work hard and care about your food and earn every cent they make and should raise their rates ASAP! It's a little known secret among the "foodies" here in VA, so take your friends there or collgues to show off your major far out and fabulous taste in authentic Mexican food. And leave a great compliment and a great tip!!!
