General Info

Koletar Law is owned and operated by Kristof G. Koletar and has been in operation since October of 2011. Kris Koletar is originally from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. He graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, with a B.A. in Criminal Justice, then worked for one year as a real estate paralegal with the law firm of Wilf & Silverman in Short Hills, New Jersey, and in-house counsel to Garden Homes, Inc., one of the largest real estate development firms in the United States. He became the lead paralegal for the Canal Walk development, and ultimately became the Firm Administrator before leaving New Jersey to attend the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary. During his time at William & Mary, he served as a Research Assistant, was a member of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, Federalist Society, and Therapeutic Jurisprudence Society, and volunteered his time with the Legal Skills program and annual Bone Marrow Drive. Kris spent the 5 years immediately prior to forming Koletar Law at Trust Builders Law Group in Yorktown, Virginia, one of the premiere estate and financial planning firms in the area, becoming the Managing Attorney of the Yorktown office and a shareholder in the firm before striking out on his own. Kris is dedicated to providing Simple, Fair & Convenient law services in such fields as: Wills, Trust & Estate Planning, Prenuptial agreements, Probate, Intellectual property law, small business formation, business law and more. At Koletar Law it is our responsibility, as lawyers, to help make difficult situations easier on all parties involved. Kris helped us set up a corpor...

Kris helped us set up a corporation and was very patient with us as we floundered around like a fish out of water. After he thought he was finished with us we still had questions, which he generously answered over the phone. He made everything so much easier for us as we waded through something we had never had any experience with. He was very efficient and knowledgeable and we will certainly use him again if we have the need to do so.
