General Info

I am a Photojournalistic Photographer. I'm an independent, "only" child that grew up in the 80's in a rural town that you had to stop and wait for ducks to cross the road. I always had pets; bunnies, hamsters, dogs, and now 2 rescue cats of my own- Jack and Phoebe. I live in Newburyport on my own and couldn't be happier. I'm the founder of Brooke Whicher Photography as well as a "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" approved photog. I am an animal-obsessed volunteer for the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society. I am a member of SMART- the State of Ma. Animal Response Team as well as a emergency marshal at my corporate job. I'm a stickler for spelling & grammar and I know how to write calligraphy. I'm a former nanny and I love to hunt for bargains. In college, I interned beside Billy Costa at Kiss 108 from starting at 4am. I'm the co-founder of SEW Phabulous! Pet Toys alongside my mother, Sheila. "S.E.W." are her initials, PH is for Phoebe by cat, and Phabulous is a word I always used to describe something I'm Im really diggin'. I know how to bartend and I often cater for local restaurants and companies. I love to travel and plan adventures. My only serenity is found in Wells, Maine along the private beach called "Moody". I am obsessed with finding the next best cupcake around town. I work full-time in the corporate world, engulfed in licensing & copyright, previously publishing. I have my MBA from Endicott and I close all of my emails with "cheers". I love marshmallows and anything with coconut. I live for the smell of the ocean air, the sound of crashing waves, and the sound of seagulls on the beach. I grin ear-to-ear when I drive past a field of noisy peepers (frogs) or smell a bonfire nearby. I live, eat, and breathe photography and animal rights. I am me.
