Built in 1967, Newbury Park High School offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades nine through 12. It is located in Newbury Park, Calif., and is governed by the Conejo Valley Unified School District. The school has an enrollment of more than 2,100. The school provides various instructional levels that include International Baccalaureate, advanced placement, honors and college preparatory, standard and basic. It also provides GATE, English language development resources and vocational education programs. It offers a wide range of courses, including English, foreign language, arts, media and communications, mathematics, science, social studies, business technology, engineering and environment, industrial technology, health sciences and public and human services. It also offers a library and a media center. Newbury Park High School provides a variety of sports and athletics activities that include basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, softball, ice hockey, tennis, golf, swimming and diving, waterpolo, cross country and track and field.
