Found by accident when the restaurants at Pope's Creek were closed for the winter. What a lucky find. The oysters were lightly fried - cooked to perfection. The items on the salad bar were fresh and plentiful. Can't wait to go back in the summer to try the steamed crabs.

The best crabs in southern Maryland! Have been there many times and crabs are always great. Service is good and a beautiful location. It takes us an hour to get there but is so worth it!

My boyfriend and I were traveling back from Virginia and saw the sign for Capt. John's. Best decision we made. The service was absolutely commendable and the crabs were out of this world. We will definitely be back. The view, food service - just can't say enough how great this place is.
