McKechnie Vehicle Components, located in Newberry, S.C., is a division of the McKechnie Group, an international group of companies based in the United Kingdom with operations in the United States, Europe and the Pacific Rim. The McKenchnie Group provides moulding and extruding serves for a wide range of thermoplastics and elastomers. The Newberry facility manufactures stainless steel trim rings, wheel covers, center caps and stainless steel claddings. Its manufacturing processes include metal stamping, buffing, painting, roll form, CNC machining, powder coating and final assembly. Its clients include Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Toyota, General Motors, Mazda, Auto Alliance International, Mitsubishi, Subaru, ArvinMeritor and Hayes Wheels. The MVC Newberry plant also has a satellite operation in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The San Luis Potosi facility assembles McKechnie's Duraclad claddings onto full face steel wheels.
