Founded in 1969, Link Community School enrolls more than 128 students in grades seven and eight. It emphasizes the intellectual, social, moral and academic development of students. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools. Its educational program includes instruction in mathematics, science, history, English and Spanish. Link Community School also offers music, computer, fine arts and physical education classes. The school conducts various sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball and soccer. In addition, it offers character development sessions. The school s staff includes a nurse, social worker, campaign coordinator and teachers. Link Community School is located in Newark, N.J.
