ETM Electromatic designs, manufactures and supports tailored power subsystems for system integrators in the communications, aerospace, defense and medical markets. Founded in 1973, ETM Electromatic has over three decades of experience in high power microwave and high voltage. ETM established itself early as the pre-eminent manufacturer of microwave tube test equipment for tube manufacturers around the world. Of the nearly 1,000 test sets ETM has shipped over the years, most are still in use at facilities around the globe including CPI, Teledyne, Hughes, Northrop, NEC in Japan, Elta in Israel, Alelco in Italy, and Itri-ERSO in Taiwan, as well as at United States and European defense department repair depots. Based on the proven technical expertise in producing these linear high voltage, high current power supplies, ETM began developing tailored high-powered transmitters that combined its innovative power supply design with third-party Klystrons and TWTs. With the introduction of its modular switch-mode power supply design in 1992, ETM was able to dramatically reduce the size and weight of its transmitters, while significantly improving serviceability and maintainability in the field.
