Yachad, The National Jewish Council for Disabilities, also known as Yachad/NJCD, is dedicated to enhancing the life opportunities of individuals with disabilities and ensuring their participation in Jewish life. It serves individuals from various age groups and offers opportunities to participate in several monthly activities. Yachad, The National Jewish Council for Disabilities is part of the Orthodox Union and operates chapters throughout the United States and Canada. The organization hosts a weekend retreat that is hosted by a Jewish community and includes synagogue services, Shabbat meals, singing, dancing, group activities and educational interaction. Additionally, it organizes Cultural Arts Programs (CAP) throughout New York and New Jersey. Yachad, The National Jewish Council for Disabilities is located in New York City.
