Located in New York City, the Senior Center is a part of YM & YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood. The center offers programs for the social, educational, cultural and recreational needs of adults aged above 60. It provides assistance with various legal and personal issues of people. The Senior Center offers lectures that focus on politics and social issues, health and safety, consumer awareness, arts, Jewish heritage and other topics. It organizes movie outings, concerts, stage and cabaret-style performances and social dance parties. The center hosts special celebration and commemorations, including Rosh Hashanah and Thanksgiving luncheons, as well as pre-New Year s Gala and monthly birthday parties. The Senior Center also offers health and wellness services, such as flu vaccinations, mammograms, blood pressure checks and other health-related screenings.
