It operates Trimaran Fund Management, which is a subsidiary that provides long-term capital and equity-oriented investments in middle-market companies. Founded in 1995, Trimaran Fund Management makes investments ranging from $25 million to $100 million. The subsidiary has invested more than $1 billion of equity funds in over 55 portfolio companies in the telecommunications and Internet sectors. Its portfolio companies include Accuride Corporation, Brite Media Group, Charlie Brown's, Jefferson National Life Insurance Company, Norcraft Companies, Village Voice Media, Urban Brands and Standard Steel. Trimaran Capital Partners also operates Trimaran Advisors, which offers credit-based alternative asset management services.
