General Info
Tree of Life is a not-for-profit organization, and is an IRS recognized charity. Tree of Life is approved under Internal Revenue code 501 (c) (3). This designation signifies that charitable donations made to our organization are fully tax-deductible to the extent they are allowed by law. With your help, Tree of Life provides food for the hungry and funding for a variety of organizations. The majority of funding goes to our Food On Wheel Program which provides food to hungry children, senior citizens and families in need. In addition The Tree of Life supports organizations dedicated to assisting the blind, under-privileged and to educational institutions. Several branches of the Brooklyn Public Library have sections stocked with books printed in Braille, solely due to our funding. In addition, summer youth programs for both blind and sighted children have also benefited through your generosity.
