Peter J. Baiocco, M.D. is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he is presently an Attending Physician and was the former Program Director of the GI Fellowship Program. Dr. Baiocco has special interests in inflammatory bowel disease and in graduate medical education as it pertains to the training of new gastroenterologists. He is widely published and continues to do research in these areas. He is a member of many professional societies, including the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Dr. Baiocco has been consistently recognized by Castle Connolly as one of the “Top Doctors” in New York and has been honored with an “Outstanding Clinical Educator Award.
