Established in 1973, Metropolitan Building Consulting Group is a design consultancy firm that offers a range of activities and interests encompassing structural engineering, resource reclamation and site development. Its client list includes Ambassador Theatre, Orpheum Theater, Minetta Lane Theater and Union Square Theatre. In addition, the company represents client's interests on behalf of local building departments, the U.S. Green Building Council and implementers of green building incentive programs. It has licensed engineers and architects in New York, New Jersey, California and Connecticut. The company is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction. With a satellite office in Santa Monica, Calif., Metropolitan Building Consulting Group maintains its headquarters in New York City.
