Congratulations on exploring the option of counseling. My treatment approach is based on respecting each person's inner strength and wisdom. My clients describe me as engaged, interactive, empathic and at times humorous all the while instilling hope during stressful times. I make this claim with confidence because I have observed how easily my clients relate their most personal issues to me. My sessions provide an environment in which clients can slow down their thinking and pay closer attention to their own wisdom, which facilitates change. Emphasis is placed on the here and now. I bring to this work an in-depth understanding of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger, addictions and corporate workplace issues, to name a few. Coaching and spirituality are also incorporated into my work when appropriate. My education has been enhanced by the graduate work I've done at Fordham University, post graduate work at the National Institute of Psychotherapies, Blanton Peale Graduate Institute, Pathways of Light Ministerial Program and numerous intensive workshops focusing of substance abuse and mental health and well being.
