- DivorceIn February 2012, Saralee became a founding partner in the firm of Siegel Teitelbaum & Evans, LLP where she practices matrimonial law. Although in her practice Ms. Evans emphasizes alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, she also litigates appropriate divorce and custody cases. While sitting in the Matrimonial Part of the Supreme Court, where she presided over many hundreds of cases, Ms. Evans observed that some cases can be resolved more expeditiously and with less acrimony than the litigation process entails. Under these circumstances, alternatives to litigation lessen the often times negative impact of divorce on the litigants and their children. In furtherance of her interest in alternative dispute resolution, Saralee has completed training in divorce mediation.
- Criminal DefenseMs. Fletcher’s work at STE has encompassed a broad array of matters, including Section 1983 claims under the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments, commercial and consumer contracts, real estate matters, requests and appeal under the federal Freedom of Information Act and the New York Freedom of Information Law, and claims under the Stored Communications Act and the Wiretap Act. Ms. Fletcher was also a member of the successful criminal defense team in the highly-publicized trial of

In 2015, he, Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President, and Gale Brewer, Manhattan Borough President conducted a series of town hall meetings and later published a Special Report entitled "Improving Police-Community Relations: A Joint Report from a series of Town Hall Meetings in Brooklyn and Manhattan." In 2016, Norman was co-counsel successfully challenging the 1986 wrongful conviction of Willie Stuckey, Jr. and was part of the defense trial team that successfully defended Nick Hillary on the charge of murder in St. Lawrence County, New York (

- Construction LitigationGrayson-Robinson Stores v. Iris Construction Corp. revisited the issue. 6 The case arose in the aftermath of an arbitration award in which the arbitrators directed specific performance of a construction contract that included an arbitration agreement in which, among the powers given to arbitrators, the power to direct specific performance was provided. In the proceeding to confirm the arbitration award that included an order of specific performance, the defaulting party under the construction contract argued that enforcement of the award would violate the public policy against decrees that require "continuous judicial supervision and control of performance." Quite simply, the argument went, performance of a contract to construct a building...is never ordered by courts of equity...." 7
- Eminent DomainIn private practice since 2002, Norman's work in civil rights and civil liberties law continues. He has represented the Williamsburg 7, Brooklyn activists arrested when protesting the closing of their local firehouse; the Nyack 10, filing a suit for the right to obtain marriage licenses for same sex couples; and Tuck-It-Away, Inc. in its fight against the use of eminent domain in Columbia University's expansion plan.
