Dr. James George, M.D., of New York Gastroenterology Associates with offices in Manhattan’s Midtown East and Upper East Side, graduated with Phi Beta Kappa academic honors from the State University of New York Binghamton. He went on to earn his medical degree through Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was selected for the Alpha Omega Honors Society based on his academic performance. Dr. George completed his internal medicine training at the University of California, San Francisco, and served his gastroenterology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Receiving the Mount Sinai Fellowship Teaching Award, Dr. George is published extensively on the management of inflammatory bowel diseases, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease, building on his extensive experience and reputation as a consulting gastroenterologist. With a specialty interest in the role that diet plays in each of these conditions, Dr. George is also widely known for his endoscopic expertise in performing colonoscopy and complex polyp removal for colon cancer screening. On the recommendation of his peers, Dr. George has won Best Doctors and Super Doctors awards numerous times.
