Forbidden Planet is a good place to buy comics supplies, manga (they often have the earlier volumes that most stores don't), and T-shirts, and they tend to be open late. Their staff handles comics too roughly (I've had books I carefully picked out based on condition only to get bent by the cashier) which I should have expected, as the store carries only very recent back issues, and those never look well cared for, lack of bags and boards notwithstanding. It seems to be the most popular comic shop in the city. Let others have it--there are much better comic shops here.

A great place to shop. This comic book store has tons of service representatives behind the counter and on the floor ready to help. Need the latest info on a series or crossover? They'll direct you to the resident expert willing to answer all of your questions. Can't find the issue or book you're looking for? They'll drop what they're doing and find it for you. The store has a great selection of back issues also. Additionally, it serves as a good place for DVD's, collectors memorabilia, graphic novels, and regular novels, from Star Wars to Star Trek or even Harry Potter. It's more than just a comic book store--it's your one-stop nerd-fest extravaganza.

Great place for latest and old comics. Very cool place to hang out and just catch up on comics you've missed. Prices are fair too, especially if you have a college ID with you.
