EvergreenChoice was the 3rd New York company that promised everything and the ONLY company that actually delivered what they promised. Just so you know they only take long term care insurance, however the difference is so worth the 35.00 a day that Medicare pays!
To find EvergreenChoice consider yourself lucky when you are in the situation to need a home care aide. After a throrough assessment of my father and his living situation, we sat down with the co-owner of the company, a bright woman that was clearly loves what she does. She spoke to my father with and without us in the room. Two days later she sent the most wonderful Caregiver we could imagion. She talks about "making the match" and that is how she is so successful. Most agencies send the next person on their rolodex file as we found out.Our caregiver is licensed which we didn't even know there was a license for this work. She explained that the caregivers are insured and if there is a call in of sickness, another person is sent to sub so there are no worries. Interviewing the other companies in Manhattan is a waste of time, but if you have to, save EvergreenChoice for last and you will see an amazing difference adn you can thank me later for going through 2 other agencies first.
