Founded in 1958, the East Harlem Tutorial Program is a nonprofit volunteer tutoring program. The program offers help in homework for students in kindergarten through grade 12. It provides teaching assistance for various subjects, including reading, English, writing, math, science and global studies. The East Harlem Tutorial Program also organizes a variety of art and cultural activities, such as dancing, drama, poetry, filmmaking and music recording. The program conducts interviews and script and creative writing competitions. The East Harlem Tutorial Program additionally offers test preparation materials for various tests, such as the SAT and GRE. Its sports activities include basketball and table tennis. In addition, it organizes summer camps in the month of July and August for children and youths. East Harlem Tutorial Program is located in New York City.
