A few months ago I received a solicitation call from Gregory HVAC (who I found out is Superior Energy). I reported my A/C not working properly and scheduled an appointment. Meanwhile I spoke with several other A/C companies who said if the problem is a freon leak that cannot be sealed. When Superior Energy aka Gregory HVAC arrived, I told the tech what the others said about sealing a leak. He shook his head & and said that is not true, we can seal a leak if that is the problem. He then inspected the system and said there was a freon leak, it would cost $929 to fill with freon and seal the leak. That seemed much better then replacing my unit, it was the beginning of the summer. within 3 weeks the system was not cooling below 79 degrees. I called another A/C co. who came out to confirm there was a leak and Superior aka Gregory was lying, they cannot seal a leak. Why would any smart human being pay almost $1000 for something that may or may not work? I was really upset, when I contacted the owner of Superior aka Gregory HVAC, they said he would credit me $929 toward a new system which was $5500! Way to con a sale folks!! Beware, they scribble on the invoice something about it, which I could not even read, then tell you in person they CAN in fact seal it! I WOULD NEVER HAVE SPEND $929 ON A MAYBE IT WILL WORK, COULD HAVE BOUGHT 2 WALL UNITS FOR THAT PRICE. By the way, I ended up getting a new unit at $3999, which was even lower then what Gregory HVAC quoted me after my credit. RIPOFF! I'm not a happy customer, watch out for either name they approach you with.
