Founded in 1917, McDonogh 35 High School offers a college preparatory curriculum for the intellectual development of students. The school enrolls students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, mathematics, business and technology education, science, social studies, foreign languages, fine arts, and health and physical education. McDonogh 35 High School provides scholarship opportunities to students. It additionally offers several athletic activities, such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and track and field. It is a part of New Orleans Public Schools.
