Horrible experience with alterations!!! took a bridesmaid dress there 3 weeks before a wedding to have hemmed and a halter strap taken up. They were supposed to send it from the Lower Burrell location to Sarver, which is closer to my home. They had no dressing room. I had to try on my dress in filthy office, which should have tipped me off to leave. There was a dog running around the place and I had my infant with me. They called and said it was ready. I went to the Sarver location to pick it up and it wasn't there - they forgot to send it. Went back the next day to pick it up and the halter strap was about 3 inches too short and would not button and the bottom not hemmed. Had to lug my infant with me back to the Lower Burrell location. The lady Stephanie said that she knew how much needed let out. She never measured the strap and suggested that if it was too much I could just pin it.... hello - that's why I had it altered int he first place - I don't want to pin it especially if I wear my hair up. Went back to Sarver to pick it up and they left it out to the way the dress was in the first place - so now the strap is too long again. When the lady there called her at the Burrell location she said that I would just have to pin it that she "can't work miracles and I was out of luck and I shouldn't have waited so long to get it altered" - mind you this had gone on for 3 weeks! in addition, they lied and said they hemmed the bottom and charged me for it and really did not because I measured how much needed taken up and it wasn't touched but they had the nerve to charge me for it. Stephanie the supposed owner was rude and I would never EVER EVER go back or recommend - don't waste your time or money!
