Established in 1970, Volunteer Counseling Services is a community-based social service agency that offers counseling and conflict resolution services. It offers parenting classes for mothers and fathers who may experience difficulty parenting their children due to a lack of understanding about abuse, neglect and effective parental guidance. The organization also offers a program that includes group classes and individual counseling sessions for parents who are separating or divorced. Volunteer Counseling Services offers the Conflict Management in the Schools Program, which teaches the necessary skills in conflict management to everyone involved in the educational life of children, including students, faculty, staff, administrators and parents.
