In 1922, the Magyar Bank was founded by a group of Hungarian immigrants and businessmen looking for a bank to help them achieve the American Dream. It offers low-to-moderate income mortgages that provide home ownership opportunities to families and help stabilize urban neighborhoods. The bank supports community service organizations and charities, such as the United Way of New Jersey, the Housing Coalition of Central New Jersey, the Somerset County Coalition on Affordable Housing, New Brunswick Tomorrow and the Renaissance 2000 Community Development Project. Magyar Bank has locations in New Brunswick, North Brunswick and Kendall Park, N.J.
