- The NBU Main Office is located in downtown New Braunfels at the corner of Main Plaza and San Antonio Street. From IH-35, take the FM 725/Lake McQueeney/Seguin Ave. exit and take Seguin Avenue into downtown. The Main Office is the first building on your right as you enter the plaza. Off street parking is available to your immediate right in the NBU Customer Parking Lot.

General Info
New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) is a public-power municipal utility dedicated to enhancing the quality of its community by providing innovative essential services to its customers and serving as good stewards of the environment and natural resources. New Braunfels Utilities was established in 1942 when the City Commission of New Braunfels purchased the electric transmission and distribution system from the Public Service Company of San Antonio. In 1959, the city of New Braunfels assigned operations of the water and sewer systems to NBU. The company employs more than 325 people supporting electric, water, and wastewater services. The NBU Electric System consists of more than 624 miles of overhead lines and 346 miles of underground distribution lines. The waster system comprises a service area of approximately 89 square miles, includes the city and surrounding area, and consists of 583 miles of water mains.
