The Hill Country Community MHMR Center serves more than 5,000 adults and over 1,000 children suffering from mental illnesses. The center provides medication evaluation, disease management and psychological assessment services. It features vocational training, nutritional consultation and early childhood intervention programs. The Hill Country Community MHMR Center additionally offers therapeutic activities, such as art and crafts, music, drama therapy, ropes courses and prison field trips for adults on probation. The center provides speech, language and occupational therapies for children up to the age of 3. It also offers residential detoxification, substance abuse treatment and outpatient counseling programs for youths. The Hill Country Community MHMR Center provides family education, developmental screening and psychiatric rehabilitation programs. The center maintains a location in New Braunfels, Texas.
