Mr. Hodgkins and his son do good work, promptly, and at a reasonable price. He's very easy and cooperative to work with. I would certainly recommend him to others and employ him for additional masonry work

We have had our wood stove for almost 20 years. Every year we have had it cleaned. Last year Dan cleaned it and found ceosote had built up and the flue was cracked. Dan put in a linner so we can go on using the stove with confidence. The price was sure cheaper than a chimney fire. Thanks Dan.

We were interested in moving our wood stove from the basement to the first floor and having some stonework done, which would become the focal point of the room. Two years ago I had Dan put a chimney liner in my chimney after Dan did a cleaning and discovered a cracked tile from a chimney fire that he said occured at some point. January 2010 I had another company come and clean my liner. They cleaned it but tried to find fault with the liner and the installation. The same company came back last month (Feb. "11) and brought the wrong brush and wouldn't finish the cleaning because of supposed code violations. After research, a visit from the town fire chief, no code violations were present. I called Dan and the very same day he came, listened to all my concerns, cleaned my chimney,suggested ways to increase heat to my basement and the first floor, suggested ways to reduce creosote, set up a follow up visit, started a fire to check draft. A total of 2 hours. I was very pleased with his reaction to my stressful situation caused by the "cheaper" sweep. Dan's suggestions helped to finally get my entire house warm. Bill in Weare
