      Great Lakes Custom Tool Mfg., Inc. (GLCT), a custom tool manufacturer and family owned company since 1979 had been producing cutting tools primarily for wood and composites up until July 2004 when we purchased Sonnet Tool located in Hawthorne, California. GLCT moved the equipment and inventory to Peshtigo, Wisconsin. This acquisition enhanced our manufacturing capabilities to include true helix cutting tools, commonly known as Helicarb Purchasing Sonnet Tool gave us rights to twist carbide up to a 45 degree helix and further expand opportunities in the metalworking industries such as aerospace, automotive, ship building, medical fields, etc. On June 12, 2013 GLCT purchased yet another company, AAA Precision Tool & Cutter Grinding, LLC. (AAA) located in Orofino, ID. AAA is in full operation in Orofino with a new manufacturing facility which was completed fall 2014. AAA Precision Tool & Cutter Grinding LLC provides tooling to a vast array of customers who manufacture for industries, including but not limited to: automotive, hydraulic, agricultural, electrical, medical, recreation, aerospace, machine manufacturers, ammunitions, etc. Like GLCT, AAA will design the perfect tool for the application at hand. Not only do our two companies manufacture custom tooling, we also modify and recondition them as well. MANUFACTURING of custom cutting tools, tolerances to +/- .0001 are routine. DESIGNING special cutting tools to increase your production efficiency. MODIFICATIONS of existing tooling to better suit your needs. RECONDITIONING re-sharpening to reduce your tooling costs.
