Established in 1843, Child & Family Services is a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of programs and services for families. Located in New Bedford, Mass., the organization offers more than 20 programs and serves over 13,000 individuals every year. It supports an adoption services program that provides assistance for children who suffer from physical, emotional and medical disabilities. Child & Family Services operates a mental health clinic that provides therapies and assessments for individuals, families, couples and groups. In addition, the organization offers psychiatric evaluation, adult behavioral health, community-based acute treatment and medication monitoring services. It provides emergency mental health and outreach and community counseling services. Child & Family Services supports the Parent Mentor Program and the Sexual Abuse Intervention Network.
