New Albany Middle School serves more than 800 students in grades six and eight. The school operates a parent-teacher organization that offers a variety of support services for school-welfare activities. It also has a student council, orchestra, and ski and book clubs. New Albany Middle School maintains an art center, library and counseling department. The school provides a variety of academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. It also offers instructional services in music, technological communications and wellness. New Albany Middle School provides an accelerated reader program. The school s athletic activities include baseball, basketball, football, golf, cheerleading, softball, swimming, tennis, wrestling, volleyball, and track and field. It is governed by the New Albany - Plain Local School District, which administers elementary, middle and high schools.
