What a disappointment in the Hocking Hills area. The "scenery" is of overgrowth and back yards of poverty stricken families. The "history" is something I could've gotten in a brochure and saw myself on the road parallel to the tracks. The customer service (once I actually could get a hold of someone) was terrible and rude. A total waste of time and money. What a disappointment.

My husband and I took our son on the Polar Express train ride and had a great time! The HVSRY staff was very professional and friendly with the children. They did a good job at portraying one of our family favorite movies from the conductors to the "hobo" and the hot chocolate. It was well worth the hour drive for our family. Highly recommend!! Great job HVSRY!!! Thank you for a great experience!!!

Called and talked to a gentleman at the number listed. He stated that the Ticket office would call me right back. I left him my name and phone number. NO Calls. I called 2 more times on that number but the phone was off the hook. I called the 1-800 number and went thru the whole recording. I called the number and left messages as they state. They offer they will call back that day if you leave a message. Still no response only a busy tone. I am sure they are a great attraction, but with no responsiblilty to their customers. I would not go ride their trains even if they paid me. They can also expect that I will tell everyone I know how crappy their service is to their possible customers. Thanks,
What a disappointment. Ticket depot very unorganized, along with ticket distribution itself (we made online reservations, but they have no reservation window to pick up tickets, which means you wait in line with everyone else who is purchasing tickets) . Seats are not assigned, making it difficult to find seating together for family or small group. Train ride itself was most disappointing. Scenic moments include various abandoned mobile homes, a palette factory, and the backside of run-down student housing. Save your money for something else.
