Established in 1914, Abington Memorial Hospital is a more than 550-plus bed facility that offers a range of health care services. As a nonprofit hospital, it maintains a work force of more than 5,500 employees. Abington Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and The Joint Commission. It provides treatment for patients who suffer from asthma, cancer, glaucoma, and anxiety and adjustment disorders. Abington Memorial Hospital offers gastroenterology, rheumatology, oncology, pathology and psychiatry services.
