- Teeth CleaningIf plaque remains on the teeth for any length of time, it can leave a permanent white scar on the surface. An electric toothbrush or a waterpik can be a useful addition, however, please continue to see your dentist at least every 6 months for regular dental cleanings.

- Oral Surgery
- Jaw SurgeryCorrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) treats and corrects abnormalities of the facial bones, specifically the jaws and the teeth. Often, these abnormalities cause difficulty associated with chewing, talking, sleeping and other routine activities. Orthognathic surgery corrects these problems and, in conjunction with orthodontic treatment, will improve the overall appearance of the facial profile.
- Tooth ExtractionsEvaluation before the age of 7 provides both timely detection of problems and greater opportunity for more effective treatment. Early treatment can guide erupting teeth into a more favorable position, regulate the width of the upper and lower dental arches, gain space for permanent teeth, avoid the need for permanent tooth extractions, reduce the likelihood of impacted permanent teeth, correct thumb sucking, and eliminate abnormal swallowing or speech problems. When orthodontic intervention is not necessary, an orthodontist can carefully monitor growth and development and begin treatment when it is ideal.
