I have trusted them for the past 20yrs. Taking care of all our animals. The homey atmosphere and caring staff is why we go there. There are no hidden fees.. They answer all questions with professionalism... I wouldn't trust anyone else. They really do care about all animals... Just like you would.

So several people have recommended Dr Soehnlen DVM for care and affordability. My first experience was just to inquire about scheduling my 6mth old Boston for a Spay. I was told to bring the shot records and quoted a reasonable price. However, not much else was explained to me in regards to her health & to be able to have a surgery. No pre exam? So I feel that price isn't everything. Not that they were rude, but "RUSHED". That's the last thing I want for my pup is a rushed surgery. I could hear the huridness in her voice and others talking in the background. My instincts are usually correct. So I have decided I don't care to go to this particular vet for such a risky surgery on a first visit. I need to be way more familiar with this office it's cleanliness, staff and their care of animals, before taking my beloved pets there. I hope I am wrong and that this facility is helpful to those who can't afford the high costs of vet care, but still be able to get the care needed.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Soehnlen for 6 years now. All of the staff in very caring and treats my dog as if they were there own. I have a 6 year old beagle mix who ate a entire pack of stop smoking gum. I took him there with no appointment and they kept him there all day to make sure there were not going to be any adverse effects free of charge.

I was very pleased with this clinic when my 3 cats were being seen by Dr. Nathan Metz. Dr. Nathan was excellent! Since Dr. Nathan left (3 hrs away), I'v witnessed a deterioration in the care shown by the staff at this clinic. My cats are seen annually and the last 2 exams have been jokes. I even had to mentioned/ask the dr to look inside one of the cats mouths. The time spent looking at each cat was no more than 2 -3 minutes! Today was the '3rd strike-you're out' with me: due to decreased hygiene practice by my 15+ yr cat, I called and inquired about "the process" of having the cat shaved. I was told "have your cat here by 9am so we can have the bloodwork completed by 10 when the dr comes in. If there is no problem, the cat can be shaved. If the bloodwork shows concerns, the dr will call you." At 1p I called & checked on the cat's status~no bloodwork had been drawn yet! I expect my cat's advanced age to be respected and my time to be respected. My business has ended.
