The Women s Resource Center of the New River Valley is a nonprofit, human services organization that provides counseling and support services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Operational for more than 30 years, it serves children and adults in Floyd, Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski counties in Virginia. The organization offers a 24-hour crisis helpline, crisis intervention, emergency shelter and transitional housing services. The Women s Resource Center of the New River Valley offers a sexual assault program that includes emotional support, as well as counseling for adults and children who have experienced sexual assault. In addition, it offers a legal advocacy program that provides support and information on the legal process and court proceedings, as well as court escort and support services. The organization maintains a location in Radford, Va.
